Most commonly prescribed medications are available. Others are available at the medical center pharmacy. Licensed pharmacists consult via tele-pharmacy on all medication prescribed.

Guidance

- Mainside Medical (Bldg 15) can perform all routine X-rays which includes Weight Bearing Views, ortho views, Scoliosis surveys and Bone Length (scanogram or Hip to Ankle) exams. 
- Patients requiring any pictures below the chest should have PT gear with them or on under uniform, in the case that a patient is not wearing PT gear paper shorts will be provided if available. Clothing containing metal or plastic must be removed before x-rays can be taken.
- Any patient with body piercings must remove them before x-rays are to be taken.

All Active Duty Personnel are eligible for:
·         1 frame of choice, clear lenses
·         1 standard issue frame, clear lenses
·         1 standard issue frame, tinted lenses
·         Gas mask and ESS/Ballistic inserts, as required

Guidance

·         Please bring your current glasses with you to your exam.
·         Please arrive 15 minutes early to your exam
·         Patients reporting 15 minutes or later than their appointed time may be asked to reschedule

A limited number of physicals are performed due to personnel and resource limitations.
Physicals are scheduled by the Optometry Clinic and are NOT performed on a walk in basis

Guidance

Patients interested in refractive surgery should bring copies of their last 2 eye glass prescriptions to their comprehensive exam. Appointment is required.
·         To be eligible for surgery one must:
o    be over 21 years old
o    have a stable prescription
o    have good ocular health
o    have at least 18 months remaining on active duty
o    not be deploying within the next 6 months
o    have a prescription that meets the qualifications for surgery

·         Report to Physical Exam Coordinator to begin physical exam process.
·         Allow yourself 1-2 days to complete the following preliminary requirements:
o    Labs, Immunizations, Eye Screening, EKG and Audiogram
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.

Guidance

·         Report to Physical Exam Coordinator AFTER initial screening is completed and you currently have orders to MSG duty.
·         Allow yourself 1-2 days to complete the following preliminary requirements:
o    Labs, Immunizations, Eye screening, Audiogram, EKG and Dental Exam.
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.

·         Report to the Physical Exam Coordinator as soon as paperwork for PEB is received.
·         Allow yourself 1-2 days to complete the following preliminary requirements:
o    Labs, Immunizations, Eye screening, Audiogram and Dental Exam
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.

·         Allow yourself 1-2 days to complete the following preliminary requirements:
o    Labs, Immunizations, Eye screening, Audiogram, EKG and Dental Exam
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.

·         Report to Physical Exam Coordinator AFTER initial screening is completed and you currently have orders to Recruiting Duty, I&I Duty or Drill Instructor Duty.
·         Allow yourself 1-2 days to complete the following preliminary requirements:
o    Labs, Immunizations, Eye screening, Audiogram, and Dental Exam
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.

·         Report to the Physical Exam Coordinator 180 days prior to EAS.
·         Allow yourself 1-2 days to complete the following preliminary requirements:
o    Labs, Immunizations, Audiogram and Dental Exam
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.
Note: Call the Veterans Affairs (VA) Office at 910-451-0801 between 60-180 days from your EAS date to complete a VA physical.

·         Report to the Physical Exam Coordinator when you receive your re-enlistment paperwork.
·         Allow yourself between 1-2 hours to complete paperwork and readiness requirements.
·         After completing the preliminaries you will be scheduled an appointment by the Physical Exams Coordinator to see a provider to complete the physical.

Guidance

·         All required readiness vaccines/immunizations are administered on a walk-in basis.
·         Note that smallpox is only given on Tuesdays from 9:30–10:30 a.m. and on Wednesdays from 1–2 p.m.
·         Yellow fever will be administered on Wednesdays only from 9–10 a.m.
