Pain Management

Mission

It is the mission of Pain Management to
  • Decrease pain in a minimally-invasive fashion
  • Educate patients about their condition as well as current and future treatment options
  • Care for patients in an environment that is both high in quality and delivers with dignity and respect.

 To provide outstanding healthcare from an enthusiastic well trained staff in a welcoming environment.

Goals

  • READINESS: Maintain readiness of personnel by ensuring proper plan of care is given to each patient.
  • PEOPLE: Staff will be trained and well-rounded to provide patients with great healthcare and customer service.
  • QUALITY: Maximize patient satisfaction by providing quality care.
    • To maximize privacy in the consultation and treatment areas, only the patient will be allowed in those areas.
    • If the patient is unable to communicate effectively with the physician or provide an adequate history, a family member or caregiver's presence may be necessary; a patient authorization designating said family member/caregiver's presence must be included in the patient's record.
    • Otherwise, if a patient wishes to have a family member present, he/she may ask the physician; then his/her presence is allowed at the physician's discretion.

Child Policy

  • Children under 12 years of age must have adult supervision.
  • Children may not be in the treatment room during patient exams.
  • In no cases will unattended children be allowed in the Pain Management Clinic waiting area.
  • Appointments will be rescheduled for patients with unattended children.

New Patients

Referral required from PCM and/or specialist within the MTF system.

Arrive 30 minutes early to fill out new patient forms. If advanced imaging results were obtained outside the hospital network, bring copies to appointment. Bring all prescribed medications and military ID.
