Pharmacy Update

A reported cyberattack on the nation’s largest commercial prescription processor, Change Healthcare, has affected military clinics and hospitals worldwide. On February 21, Change Healthcare disconnected their systems to protect patient information. This is impacting all military pharmacies worldwide and some retail pharmacies nationally.
Military clinics and hospitals will provide outpatient prescriptions through a manual procedure until this issue is resolved. Military pharmacies will give priority to urgent prescriptions followed by routine prescriptions. Each military hospital and clinic will continue to offer pharmacy operations based on their local manning and resources.
Please be patient while pharmacies take longer than usual to safely fill prescription needs.
Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune pharmacies have been impacted by this event.
Until systems are restored, beneficiaries should expect the following:

  • The NMCCL Q-Anywhere system remains offline.
  • Those expecting to pick up refills starting Monday, February 26 should expect a minimum 3-day delay for refills moving forward.  This is subject to change.
  • We know wait times are long as thousands of TRICARE patients utilize our pharmacy services. With this additional strain, wait times will be longer. Be prepared to wait, and we are beyond grateful for your kindness with our staff.
  • Updates will be posted on our social media outlets and website.
More information from TRICARE on the cyber security issue.
