Services Update: Operating Rooms

Several operating rooms at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune have reopened following necessary restoration and upgrades. Clinics are working with patients to schedule obstetric, urgent, and military readiness procedures. NMCCL’s Labor and Delivery Department is now back to full operations. Patients with questions about a scheduled procedure should contact their respective clinic. Our patients are incredibly important to us, and NMCCL appreciates our beneficiaries’ continued support of our team prioritizing safety and quality of care. NMCCL is also grateful to our many local and regional medical partners who assisted in ensuring our patients received the care they needed during our period of downtime.

Nurse-Led Protocols in Primary Care Clinic

Do you have a sore throat or runny nose?
Do you think you may be suffering from a urinary tract infection?
Some common conditions can be handled right in our Primary Care (Family Medicine) Clinic rather than waiting in the Emergency Department! Get fast, direct care for common illnesses like upper respiratory infection, sore throat, or UTI.
Take a look at this process for being seen for common conditions. Present to either the Blue/Gold Team or Red/White Team desk and a Primary Care Clinic nurse will assess symptoms to determine if you are eligible for treatment then and there.
Help Prevent Flu Spread

The number of flu cases in our state continues to increase. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is reporting that the influenza A virus strain known as subclade K is the most-reported flu virus of the season, and the numbers are growing: https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/dashboard
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, influenza is spread mainly by particles containing the virus when people with the illness cough, sneeze or talk. If you must visit the Medical Center during this heightened flu season, we recommend wearing a mask to help reduce the spread of the flu virus especially if you or your loved ones are exhibiting symptoms like coughing/sneezing. Thank you for helping us minimize the spread of flu!
