Pharmacy Update – As of March 22, 2024
The nation’s largest commercial prescription processor, Change Healthcare, was impacted by a cyberattack in late February.
That attack has affected Department of Defense pharmacies around the globe for several weeks.
Change Healthcare is projecting restoration of claims processing capabilities. However, DoD pharmacies, including Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune pharmacies, continue to operate with manual processing of TRICARE claims until systems are fully restored. NMCCL expects of a recovery period of several weeks.
Retail pharmacies (out in the network) have been able to process TRICARE claims without issue. We encourage you to ask your providers to have your prescriptions sent to an out-in-network pharmacy if you’re unable to wait for new or renewal prescriptions in our main pharmacy and the pharmacy at the Lejeune MCX. Find a retail pharmacy here that accepts TRICARE: https://militaryrx.express-scripts.com/find-pharmacy
A reminder on a few items:
- The NMCCL Q-Anywhere system remains offline.
- Beneficiaries should expect a minimum 3-day delay for refills moving forward. This is subject to change.
- Be prepared for long wait times.
As always, updates will be posted on our social media outlets and website. We appreciate your continued patience and kindness to our staff!
