Important Information
Computer Tomography: (CT)
Most CT appointments take approximately 15 minutes. Scans with oral contrast can take longer. Radiology will contact you with instructions if your CT requires oral contrast.
Some CTs require bloodwork prior to the appointment. Radiology will contact you with instructions for bloodwork if needed.
If you have any allergies to IV Contrast (CT dye), please make sure your provider and the technologist are aware.
If patient is pregnant or could be pregnant, please inform the technologist.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI safety is paramount when getting an MRI due to the high magnetic field strength.
Patient will be asked to fill out a patient safety questionnaire. This is reviewed prior to starting your MRI.
You will be asked to remove all accessories, including cell phones, wallets, jewelry, hairpins, coins, etc. No metal will be allowed in the MRI scanning room. If you have implanted medical devices or metal hardware, please let the MRI technologist know.
Patients may be required to put on a hospital gown.
MRI appointments normally take about 45 minutes. If you have issues with claustrophobia, please inform your provider.
Mammogram
Please do not wear deodorant, powder, or lotion on the day of your appointment.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete required paperwork.
Ultrasound
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Some ultrasound exams require minor patient preparation prior to the study. Central scheduling will provide these instructions when you call to schedule your exam.
Referrals for [Radiology/Lab] Services We Don’t Provide
