Prescription Drugs

Do you have unwanted, unused, or expired prescription drugs at home? It’s important to know how to safely dispose of them. Practicing good drug disposal habits protects you, your family, and your community.

Follow the proper procedures to prevent accidental prescription misuse and abuse, while also reducing chemicals that go into our water systems and environment. Did you know NMCCL makes it easy to dispose of your unwanted, unused, and/or expired prescription drugs with our Drug Take Back program?

Drug Take Back

NMCCL offers the following Drug Take Back options:

1. Mail-in envelopes you can pick up and take with you

2. Secure bins where you can drop your unwanted drugs onsite

3. [Option 3 if there is something else]

We strive to make it easy for you and your family to handle prescriptions properly.
