Camp Lejeune Sailors conduct skill sustainment at Naval Medical Center
Sailors stationed with Marine Corps units are ensuring skills remain sharp through sustainment training courses. Twenty-eight hospital corpsmen with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) Battalion attended training on Jan. 22, 2026. The course focused on lifesaving medical techniques to ensure efficiency and efficacy when on the front lines.

The program recently held a recognition ceremony to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point and local recruiting points of contact around Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune for their dedicated support to ASBP.

Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Lejeune graduated the first fellows from the Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Fellowship Program. During the ceremony held Dec. 19 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Lieutenant Ryan Martzall and Lieutenant Jenny Oliver received certificates of completion for the 18-month program.

New virtual urgent care option for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries in the US
Are you enrolled in a TRICARE Prime plan? If you see a primary care manager at a military hospital or clinic, you may now have a new way to get urgent care. The Defense Health Agency has expanded its virtual urgent care options in the U.S. This allows TRICARE Prime enrollees ages 12 and older to schedule virtual urgent care through the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line.
