Navy Chaplains lead suicide prevention workshops at Camp Lejeune

September is recognized nationally as Suicide Prevention Month and Navy Chaplains at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina hosted an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop to train attendees to recognize early warning signs of self-harm/suicidal thoughts and how to intervene.

Upgraded medical, dental clinic opens for Marines and Sailors at Marine Corps Air Station New River

Marine Corps Air Station New River has a brand new, state-of-the-art medical and dental facility for Marines and Sailors attached to 2nd Marine Air Wing. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune celebrated the opening of the new Marine Centered Medical Home (MCMH) New River with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 26, 2024.

Making history and honoring heritage – New medical center commander/director hopes to inspire

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – United States Navy Captain Anja Dabelić makes history at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune as the first woman to lead the Medical Center since its establishment as a haven for care some 80 years ago. Dabelić assumed directorship of the facility and command of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Camp Lejeune on May 21, 2024.

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) hosted a Change of Command and Directorship ceremony on May 21, 2024, at Marston Pavilion aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The ceremony is a formal tradition symbolizing the transfer of total responsibility, authority, and accountability from one officer to another.

New clinic expands physical therapy services for Marines, Sailors on Lejeune

A new clinic is increasing physical therapy options for Marines and Sailors on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Rather than defer physical therapy (PT) care to the network, the Warfighter Readiness and Rehabilitation Center has recaptured PT consults for active-duty service members by bringing PT care in closer proximity to military personnel.

Honduran patient regains use of finger following successful operation by Navy Medicine surgeons

A Honduran man injured in an accident regained motion in his left index finger after two surgeons with Expeditionary Medical Unit (EMU) 10 G-Rotation 16 provided trauma care during a Global Health Engagement (GHE) at Hospital Nacional Mario Catarino Rivas.

NMCCL officer selected as one of Navy Medicine’s financial management officers of the year

United States Navy Lieutenant Commander Mashiana Sutton has been named Navy Medicine’s Senior Financial Management Officer of the Year for 2023. Sutton currently serves at the director for resource management at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Lejeune at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.

NMCCL graduates and commissions eight physician assistants

Eight new physician assistants will soon arrive at their next duty station ready to provide care for Marines and Sailors. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune graduated its third class from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) on Mar. 1, 2024, during a commencement ceremony at Marston Pavilion on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.
