Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune simulation center seeking full accreditation following successful first year training health care workers

The Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune Healthcare Simulation and Bioskills Center received provisional accreditation though the Society of Simulation and Healthcare in October 2024. Next, the center will prepare for pursuance of full accreditation in 2025.

Medical professionals aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune will soon have a new simulation education center to support operational and clinical education. The new “Healthcare Simulation and Bioskills Center” will open its doors on July 11, 2023.

‘Train as you fight’- Surgical suit brings realistic training to military operations

With readiness of the medical force a top-priority, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune often collaborates with entities across Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to train for real-life medical emergencies. In October, 2nd Medical Battalion tapped NMCCL’s Staff Education and Training Team for use of the medical center’s Human Worn Partial Task Surgical Simulator, or “cut suit”.

'Bloodnado 2022' exercise prepares blood bank staff for natural disaster response

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Emergency Management held a disaster preparedness tabletop exercise within the NMCCL Blood Bank to test staff’s ability to continue critical care during natural disasters.
