NMCCL employees share their personal reasons for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Monica Brown, beneficiary assistant: "I do have an older mother, 77 years old at the time I got it, and I decided if I wanted to be able to visit her and take care of her, I wanted to get vaccinated."

HM3 Brian O'Leary, pharmacy technician: "As a Corpsman, we are at the forefront of every platform that involves medicine in the Navy and OCONUS, so we help people that are in developing countries, that need us helping and need this aid. If we are not protected ourselves, then we are doing them an injustice."

LT Corbett Hall, 2nd year resident: "I read the original studies from the trials over in India, and I found it was very effective against the original variant. The Delta variant, it's also very effective against that one as well."

HM3 Chad Henry, behavioral health technician: "Patient care comes first, absolutely and always, and I believe that getting this vaccine protects my immediate patients."

Chris Smith, pharmacy technician: "It was a simple thing to decide, the right thing to do to protect everybody else and stop the spread of COVID."
