Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Emergency Management Department is ready to respond to an emergency 24 hours a day. How do they stay prepared? Planning and preparing is their answer. The goal of the department is to provide a safe environment for the Medical Center’s approximately 2,500 employees while maintaining 24-hour care for 48,000 beneficiaries.

The Change of Command Ceremony is a formal tradition symbolizing the transfer of total responsibility, authority, and accountability from one officer to another.

Aviation Corpsman helps deliver baby in NMCCL parking lot

Delivering a baby at 3 a.m. in a parking lot was never an experience U.S. Navy Petty Officer Third Class Danielle Murphy thought she would encounter while assigned as an Aviation Hospital Corpsman. On June 3, 2022, while standing administrative duty at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, Murphy assisted in delivering a baby girl.

Wagging tails and smiling faces: Therapy dogs bring comfort to Medical Center staff

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune staff are receiving comfort and support from four-legged friends. For the past several months, Beasley the Basset Hound, has been making her rounds in her Red Cross volunteer vest, providing treats for humans in the form of pets and cuddles.

We Are NMCCL: Case Management Department

NMCCL currently has 29 case managers within the Case Management Department. They cover a wide variety of internal departments for NMCCL and active duty units throughout Camp Lejeune, including Wounded Warrior Battalion-East and Marine Forces Special Operations Command, making NMCCL Case Management one of the largest case management programs throughout Navy Medicine.

New electronic health record goes live at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune

The Military Health System’s new electronic health record for Department of Defense medical sites, MHS GENESIS, is officially live at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. At 7 a.m. on March 19, NMCCL staff began using the new system for patient care for active duty service members, retirees, and their families.

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune welcomes first baby of 2022

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune welcomed its first baby of 2022. Lilly Lee was welcomed into the world at 11:29 p.m. on January 01, 2022 by her proud parents, United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Elizabeta Lee and Lance Corporal Marcus Lee. Lilly weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measured at 19.29 inches in length. Lilly is the first child for the couple who are both stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.

We are NMCCL: Communication Center – “The Heart of the Medical Center”

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Communication Center works similar to a human heart. Like a heart pumps blood to the rest of the body, employees of the Communication Center say they help pump information to the rest of the medical treatment facility.
