NMCCL Transport Center receives kits to help patients with special needs

The Transport Center at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) now have five specially-designed kits to help in transporting patients with special needs. The “Carter Kits” are part of a grant from North Carolina’s Office of Emergency Medical Services and are used to offer comfort to patients with spectrum disorders.

Navy Chaplains lead suicide prevention workshops at Camp Lejeune

September is recognized nationally as Suicide Prevention Month and Navy Chaplains at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina hosted an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop to train attendees to recognize early warning signs of self-harm/suicidal thoughts and how to intervene.

U.S. Sailors from Expeditionary Medical Facility Kilo integrated with U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve 4th Medical Battalion to participate in Exercise Global Medic 2024, an annual multinational, multicomponent collective training exercise that ran from Aug. 3-16 in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

Marine Corps Air Station New River has a brand new, state-of-the-art medical and dental facility for Marines and Sailors attached to 2nd Marine Air Wing. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune celebrated the opening of the new Marine Centered Medical Home (MCMH) New River with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 26, 2024.
