The Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune Healthcare and Bioskills Simulation Center received provisional accreditation though the Society of Simulation and Healthcare in October 2024. Next, the center will prepare for pursuance of full accreditation in 2025.

NMCCL Transport Center receives kits to help patients with special needs

The Transport Center at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) now have five specially-designed kits to help in transporting patients with special needs. The “Carter Kits” are part of a grant from North Carolina’s Office of Emergency Medical Services and are used to offer comfort to patients with spectrum disorders.

September is recognized nationally as Suicide Prevention Month and Navy Chaplains at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina hosted an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop to train attendees to recognize early warning signs of self-harm/suicidal thoughts and how to intervene.
