The Defense Health Agency announced Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune as one of 15 hospitals awarded an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for Fall 2024 after NMCCL demonstrated a continued commitment to safe, high-quality care and transparency.

Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Lejeune welcomes home Sailors supporting medical forces in Middle East operations

Expeditionary Medical Unit 10 Golf (EMU 10G), Rotation 16 concluded an eight-month deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in the Middle East with a homecoming celebration on November 16, 2024.

NMCCL Transport Center receives kits to help patients with special needs

Camp Lejeune, NC — The Transport Center at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) now have five specially-designed kits to help in transporting patients with special needs. The “Carter Kits” are part of a grant from North Carolina’s Office of Emergency Medical Services and are used to offer comfort to patients with spectrum disorders.

Advanced technical skills allow navy medicine to support global operations

Camp Lejeune, NC — Navy Medicine Training Support Command (NMTSC) Detachment Camp Lejeune is developing tactically proficient, combat-credible medical forces by providing quality training programs that support the Defense Health Agency and Navy Medicine mission.

Expeditionary Medical Forces provide care for partner nation, raises health security and capabilities

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — Expeditionary Medical Facility (EMF) Kilo personnel partnered with Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF) for a Global Health Engagement (GHE) at Hospital Escuela in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Sept. 14-28, 2024.

Navy Chaplains lead suicide prevention workshops at Camp Lejeune

CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — September is recognized nationally as Suicide Prevention Month and Navy Chaplains at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina hosted an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop to train attendees to recognize early warning signs of self-harm/suicidal thoughts and how to intervene.

Expeditionary Medical Facility Kilo Sailors hone skills at Global Medic 24

FORT MCCOY, WISCONSIN — U.S. Sailors from Expeditionary Medical Facility Kilo integrated with U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve 4th Medical Battalion to participate in Exercise Global Medic 2024, an annual multinational, multicomponent collective training exercise that ran from Aug. 3-16 in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

The award is given by HonorBridge, the largest organ procurement organization in the states of North Carolina and Virginia, to facilities that provide dedicated, compassionate care to organ donors. NMCCL cared for a Marine earlier this year whose final act was the selfless gift of organ donation.
